Six in the morning. You check the forecast and the waves are too big for the kids. Now you have to tell thirty families, remember who is owed a make-up lesson, and answer everyone who asks "so when do we make it up?".
Meanwhile someone wants a trial lesson for their daughter, a couple asks for a private lesson on Friday, and an instructor asks who in the group needs a size S wetsuit. All of it happens on WhatsApp, on the phone and in a notebook.
Then the season ends and winter comes. The business is almost closed, but the software subscription keeps running at full price.
How it works
Set up your activities
A kids' surf course, a weekly teen class, a trial lesson or a private lesson. Each activity has a page with photos, location, age limits and seats.
Parents register on their phone
They fill in their details, register several kids together, answer the fields you added (a wetsuit size, say) and sign the health declaration. Age limits are checked against the session date.
Get paid
Today: parents pay you directly with Bit and you mark it paid. The list shows who hasn't paid yet. Card payments through your own payment provider: coming soon.
Rough sea? Cancel in one click
Open the session, select "Cancel session" and pick "sea / weather". Each family gets one email, the session is cancelled in their calendar, and every participant gets a make-up credit.
Book the make-up
The registration shows its credits; pick an upcoming session with a free seat. The parent gets a confirmation and a calendar invite.
What's included
Weather cancellations with credit
Ready reasons (sea / weather, or instructor sick), a note to participants, and a make-up credit that's on by default. Set an expiry for credits, or none.
Trial lessons
A trial lesson that leads to a course, with a "Continue to the course" link on the page and in the email. Free trials are protected: limited seats and one free trial per participant a year.
Private lessons by availability
Instructors set their weekly hours and time off. Customers pick an instructor, a day and a time. Pair lessons work too.
Signed health declaration
For every participant, on the phone. The instructor on the beach sees only that there is medical information, not the answers.
Your own fields
Wetsuit size, swimming level, or anything else you need to know before the lesson. Instructors see them on the roster.
Instructor app
Instructors see their sessions, call a parent with one tap and take attendance on the phone. No app store.
Calendar invites
Every registration comes with a calendar invite. A new time, a new place or a cancellation updates the same event in the parent's calendar.

In winter, freeze the business. Your page stays up with a "registration closed for the season" notice, and all your data is kept.
What happens in winter
Most surf schools are busy from April to October and then slow down. With the seasonal freeze your page stays up with "registration closed for the season". No new registrations come in and reminders pause, but every registration, declaration and credit is kept.
The freeze costs ₪19 a month instead of the full price, for up to 5 months a year. When the season returns, end the freeze in one click and open new activities.
Private and pair lessons, without WhatsApp ping-pong
A private lesson is an activity of type "private lesson". Set a price per participant, a duration and the seats: 1 for a private lesson, or 2 or more for a pair lesson. No sessions to add: each booking creates its own.
Each instructor sets weekly hours, and marks days off or extra hours on a given date. You decide how often a lesson can start, the break between lessons, how many days ahead people can book and the minimum notice in hours. Free times are calculated for you, around the same instructor's group sessions.
Customers open the private lessons page, pick an instructor or "any free instructor", a day and a time, and continue to the same registration, health declaration included. If two people book the same slot, only the first gets it.
What the instructor sees on the beach
- Only their own sessions, in an app installed from the home screen, with no app store.
- The roster with the parent's phone (tap to call) and the fields you added, like wetsuit size.
- A "medical info exists" or "doctor's approval needed" flag, never the answers themselves.
- Attendance buttons: present, late or absent. Each tap is saved at once.
- A printable roster with an attendance column, for anyone who still likes paper on a clipboard.
What it costs for a surf school
Start for free: one activity and up to 30 registrations a month. A school with several courses, trial lessons and private lessons usually needs Basic, ₪89 a month before VAT, with unlimited activities and up to 200 registrations a month. For a busy summer with a big team there's Pro at ₪169. And in winter, ₪19 a month for the freeze.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when I cancel a lesson because of the sea?
Each confirmed registration gets an email with the cancellation and the reason, the session is cancelled in the parent's calendar, and every participant gets a make-up credit. Then you book them into another session with a free seat.
Can the cancellation go out on WhatsApp?
Today notifications go by email, and the parent's calendar updates. WhatsApp messages are coming soon.
Can I offer a free trial without it being abused?
Yes. Free trials have defaults you can change: 5 seats per session, up to 3 participants per registration, one free trial per participant every 12 months, and an email code before registering.
How do I get paid?

Can I ask for a wetsuit size when people register?
Yes. Add an extra field to the activity, a wetsuit size or swimming level, say. Parents answer it when registering, and instructors see it on the roster.
